as i said above i can launch the app itself but when it comes to playing any of the games i click and nothing happens.i even unistalled and reinstalled and thata didnt work so i installled an older version...any solutions?

The issue sounds like the external association of byond:// links has not been made to launch BYOND. There are a few ways to help resolve this:
First, double check to ensure that BYOND was installed using the .exe version of BYOND from the Downloads Page by clicking the "Windows" hyperlink and installing BYOND using that installer, which should associate the program. If you are using the .zip version, the association won't be made.
Second, check to make sure that BYOND links are configured to use BYOND. The specific steps depend on the web browser you are using, but in Firefox this is accessed by going to settings > scrolling to Applications, then confirming that the content type BYOND is set to use BYOND.
Third, if the above two steps have not resolved the problem, the issue can be worked around by doing the following steps. These won't resolve the issue but will allow you to join a game. Once you have found a game you would like to join on the website, right-click the "Play now" button and select "Copy link location", then open the BYOND pager, and from the gear icon menu, select "Open Location", paste the link into the first field, and click OK. You should be connected to the server.
Alternatively, you can access games directly through the BYOND pager using the right-side menu and join them from there.
