The day has arrived! This week 516 went into the stable channel, and we can finally kick Internet Explorer to the curb. Holy crap am I glad to be rid of IE.

A quick bug fix release went out yesterday, mainly because I wanted to get some small stuff dealt with and wanted to do it without risking the Friday curse. I'm sure early next week is going to be mainly dedicated to bug issues as all the normies get on board. It looks like the camera fix I threw in also screwed up some other case, despite having tested against a couple of different test cases, so I have more of that to look forward to.

I've still been dealing with some neck issues, especially on release day, which got in the way of trying to get anything done on 517. I have started on some more code needed for the sliding functionality in the movement overhaul, but there's a lot to work on that requires a clear head, and boy did I not have that on Wednesday. I could use some help with proc names, though. The movement procs need something besides Slide() and Jump() which are probably widely used already, and the new reciprocal cross/uncross/enter/exit/etc. need something that makes sense.

Many thanks to the BYOND Members who keep the lights on, and to those who chip in on Patreon and SubscribeStar. Without you none of this moves forward.

This weekend is only 47 hours, so make it count. More fixes to come!
sometimes you get dead popups that are impossible to close- shouldn't there at least be a way to close most of the popups, or is that something that has to be entirely handled by game devs?
That would be something you’d have to talk to the game devs about.

I'm sure he was referring to the BYOND Pager, which game developers have no control over.

It's not uncommon to get stuck with BYOND windows that can only be force closed. This has been its behavior since the release of this Pager version.

Makes me wonder how much of that could be tied to the latest Webview2 leak issues.

I would need a bug report and test case to investigate such a thing.
