I keep getting the blue screen of death for some odd reason, I'm not sure why exactly. However I have a feeling that the RAM is at fault. I think my best bet might be replacing the RAM.
I don't have the money to buy it, so I'm going to have to save up, I'm going to be getting KTD-INSP5150/1G chips, it's Kingston 1GB DRAM.
If anyone wants to donate to the fund, feel free there's a donate button on the right of this page somewhere. If you need anything, I'm willing to help. Y'know, you scratch my back I scratch yours yada yada...
Anyways, if you have any other idea what might cause this error... I don't know. I'm confused.

It could be a number of things, generally it gives you some reason of what exactly is causing it. I've had sound drivers give me the blue screen of death before, and it took me forever to actually figure that out.

0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.) Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card). Use the General Troubleshooting of STOP Messages checklist above. |
That just makes me think it's the RAM even more. However, it could be the video RAM. It crashes while WoW is running, which cause could be because of the video, but could be the stress on the computer to run the program as well.

Mikau, I guarantee you it is the RAM. Back in 2005 when I first bought World of Warcraft, I downloaded it onto my laptop. A pop-up on the bottom right corner came up saying Warning: Low Memory. A minute later, I got the blue screen of death. Then my laptop crashed and never turned back on. I had to get it repaired for a lot of money.
When I got my laptop back nice and fresh, it was pretty much like getting a whole new one. Nothing was on it so it had full memory and crap. World of Warcraft worked fine on it after that. So, to sum it up: Don't run World of Warcraft until you are sure you have enough RAM to hold it, plus extra just in case. You don't want your computer to die like mine did. It cost a ton of money to repair. |
Mikau i have had the blue screen of death multiple times, for sound, for ram. Best way to fix it is to format your computer. just find the old XP cd and fix it. just remember to save whats important, as pictures, music, etc.
Well formating the computer have always helped me. |
Formating doesn't help. I keep my computer in a state that I can format any time I feel like it, and formating didn't solve this problem.
