First update in a while...

Sorry about the delay guys, I'm still working on Sfera but I've also got a major project I'm working on for role players called Role Player's Paradise (http://www.rpparadise.com), we're a community of forum role plays - so far we have only two role players (one with a massive player base of 100+ players, the other with a smaller more elite player base), but we're working on adding more.

The Latest: Sfera Online Alpha

There's a slim chance that I may have to delay it due to the fact that a couple of the programmers I had helping me code aren't completing what small tasks I gave them fast enough, which is no problem. I should of discussed the alpha test date with you guys so it would be more official. Anyways, the alpha has a VERY big chance of happening next week.

The other main reason why it may be delayed is because of the fact I'm attending A-kon here in a couple of weeks and I need to work as many hours as I can so I can use these last two paychecks to buy shit up there. So that means less work on Sfera.

Also keep in mind that when Sfera DOES have an alpha test it's JUST as the test says. The game is in alpha and we're just testing out the building, technology, plant, date, and needs systems with many players on at once. That way players can bug test things and offer ideas and suggestions reguarding things.

The game is still pretty far from completion.

Sfera Online Update

For all of you who already know about my upcoming project "Sfera" (a MMORPG) you're probably already aware of what Sfera is going to have to offer. If you don't - or you forgot let me refresh your memory. Sfera is an online life simulator simular to my popular games It's A Living Online and Darkened Alliance (DA was a private role play, but had a huge player base.)

Unlike all those other life simulation games Sfera strictly promotes role playing. So you will be FORCED to role play as your character. Another huge aspect of the game is the aging system. Players can start as a baby - and work their way up to adults.

The major aspects of the game is the battle system (using my original 'Active Aiming' system), and the fact that the game relies entirely on players creativity to run effectively. Players will have to come together to build villages, research technology and further their civilization. Every item, every building is created by players, and they have plenty of room to be creative.

The technology in the game will not be limited to the feudal era. As time passes - players will be able to research greater technology and build concrete roads, cars, tanks, heavy machine guns. Everything. Time can be skipped ahead for role playing purposes. Players can 'breed' and create offspring who are ACTUALLY other players.

This is one big game and basically serves as one GIANT role playing tool. Not only am I going for decent game play I'm going to make this game graphically beautiful as well. None of these empty a tree here... a tree there BYOND maps. We're talking in depth. Maps full of detail and nature with birds flying through the air. Waterfalls, ponds, hotsprings, rivers, flowers... all different kinds of trees bushes...

This game will be full of depth.

Also - you can burn things. Who doesn't like to burn things? Like houses... and people.

I haven't listed every feature in the game. You'll have to wait to see the most attractive features when the game comes out.

Oh and one more thing. There is no such thing as levels in this game. What? How's that gonna work you ask? You will have to find out.

Fuck grinding.

So how much of this game is done anyway?

Private beta testing in TWO weeks.

Latest News Reguarding Meh

For all of you that don't already know, my next project is Sfera. It's an online massive multiplayer life simulator, and by far my best work yet. That's right. I can confidentally say that I have never put so much effort, so much detail and so much time into a game before. Not only that, I'm not doing it alone. Cliff, Dan Hibiki and possibly InuTracy will be helping me put this game together.

Stay tuned to my blog for more updates on the game. Ones that you can't even see on the forums to the game!
