I've been gone the last few days, I was invited Intel's channel conference in Idianapolis. I went there with my friend Chris, we got alot of insight on the new technology that will be coming out.

Intel is coming out with an entirely new CPU architecture which will be coming out around third quarter this year. I have all the codenames to the new cores, they are making three. One for the laptop, one for the desktop, and one for servers. The new core for the desktops is going to be over two hundred percent faster than their old Pentium 4(D) cores, and uses alot less power. They plan on their newer cores using as low as 45W of power. AMD has quoted their cores are going to use more power the next run, and companies don't like servers using a lot of power. They are also working on quad core processors for servers. I think Intel will be taking the market back. I'd still love to be able to go to an AMD conference!

Futijtsu also showed some of their new technology. They are currently working on a 10 gigabit router and explained how they are doing new security technology. Banks in Japan use a kind of scanner that scans the blood running through your veins, counting the oxygen and hemoglobin counts in your blood - making it entirely unique. It was some interesting stuff.

Here recently I've turned in internships to two different companies.

The first internship and the one I hope to get is at ADM(Archer Daniels Midland). I would be a programmer/analyst programming in COBOL for their IBM mainframe. It would be a great job, and I hope to get it. ADM works directly with my college, and I passed both of the COBOL programming courses with an A+.

The second and alternative internship is to Tate and Lyle for helpdesk. If I can't get the above internship, then I'll be working heldesk. I have enough experience in that, unfortunately. I'll take it if I have to! =P

Is anyone really interested in playing the DS online? I've bought the WiFi connector but the net play doesn't seem like it was integrated very well. Hopefully the newer games won't feel like this.

Animal Crossing you play only with friends, and Mario Kart you play with random people online - or friends. It seems kind of bland to me.

Classes start today, and I've had to do a few adjustments. I'm taking a four credit and 3-three credit courses. I have 13 credit hours this semester, so I had to ask my boss to cut my hours back at work, and possibly work a daytime job.

I also had the ability to take English 121 or something, but English 101 focused on essays and such. I like writing essays =)

Java programming and work experience practicum will be easy courses. English 101 will be easy, but time consuming.

Systems Analysis & Design is going to be a massive pain in my butt. I've heard people say it deserves to be a 5 credit course. From what they've told me, you are to design a working computer system(from the databasing, to the networking, to the systems, and all) for a business with their given specifications. It's an entire-long semester project. God, I suck at long projects. =P
