Thanks for reading. Dragon Warrior: Shadows of Erdrick v1.25 has undergone some upgrades!

First of all, I've upgraded the server. Previously, SoE was hosted like so:

FreeBSD
Pentium III 1.4ghz
512MB SDRAM
6mbps connection

The new server looks like this:

Linux
Pentium 4 2.8ghz
1.5GB DDR
6mbps connection

Quite the hefty upgrade, wouldn't you say?

Also, I'd like to note that DW:SoE has been compiled and optimized for use with BYOND 4.0, and it is *so nice* to be able to finally resize the game screen! It's a feature I've always wanted to see out of BYOND, and I'm glad that the continued donations and support of the BYOND member community and benefactors (like myself-- w00t!) is a constant inspiration to the BYOND team to continue to improve the software.

Another point of interest: We now have a 24/7 TeamSpeak server! This runs parallel to the BYOND HostServer and is completely free for SoE players to use for voice communication during play! Tons of fun. If you've never used TeamSpeak before, it's actually really cool... kinda like "back in the day" on "party lines"... hahaha... remember doing that??? ...you 'member...

One other tiny little thing... The bonus dungeon "Sky Tower" is now in full effect, with a ridiculous boss at the end as well. The game ain't finished until you've defeated him (a few times), so be prepared to train like you've never trained in a Dragon Warrior game before! MUAHAHAHA...

For those who don't know, you can find Dragon Warrior Shadows of Erdrick under... "BYOND Anime" (for some reason... i have no idea why. i've written emails and never get a response. whatever.) or you can connect directly to the server by just connecting to: byond://soe.8bitdream.com:9499

I am currently looking for someone who is a friend or a fan of DW:SoE to donate coding services.
What i need: a "bot" character that can perform commands when prompted by events in the game.
What that means: A "player" that is always logged in to the game, that can respond to "questions" from players, and possibly greet new players as they join the game, and offer other automated miscellaneous help to new players.
