Holy musk ox...

Merry Christmas you guys. I got a new computer (just ordered off of newegg)... I'm so excited for it. I guess it's not THAT powerful for some of you, but it's a big upgrade from the Dell that I have.
I also, surprisingly, got a Wii yesterday for my birthday (well, technically, I have one, but they were out of stock so I have a gift card that can be exchanged for a Wii when they get in, heh). I really wasn't expecting to get any of the new gen consoles for a couple years... then BANG. It's pretty much perfect--I got a Wii, and one of my best friends got a DS (she'd been dying to have one for so long).

So yeah.. in short, my christmas/birthday pretty much rocked.
I love you alll!

Back to school...

Today was my first day of school. It wasn't a *real* day, seeming as it was freshmen-only so that we can get a tour of the building and teachers and such. Sort of like step-up day. First year of highschool, yaaay?

And I already have homework for Algebra class. But that's okay, seeming as the teacher seems really cool. My science class is probably my favorite, seeming as a lot of people I know are in it and it's small (eleven people). That and art, the people in it are pretty okay, although about 2/3 of the class is upperclassmen and they weren't here today, so I'm kind of in the dark about who else is in there.

I wonder what we're going to be doing in computer class. I have it second semester so I don't know yet, but it doesn't sound too fun -- the average class is apparently going to do typing skills&how to write a business letter or something stupid like that. But I'm in the higher level computer class... we'll probably be doing something stupid like designing a webpage on Geocities (oh god, hopefully not).

Half of me is excited, half of me is like "ohh great" seeming as we get a lot more homework in Highschool. And homework is 30% of our grade, so doing no homework would be a D- at best. Hopefully this year I'll actually bother to do my homework early instead of at 10PM or so.

Blaaahh...

Papercraft anyone?

Just curious. Does anyone else make papercrafts?.. Or even know what it is?

If you don't, then I'll tell you, kay? They're made from cutting out paper, then gluing it together so that in the end you have a 3d model made out of paper. I haven't made many, due to the fact that more complex models are pretty time consuming, but it's pretty fun.

The stuff you can print out and make ranges from the catbus from Totoro, to Link from Zelda and even Howl's Moving Castle.
