Unwritten..... single player?
So I've been debating over whether or not to make Unwritten a single player game in the same realm as Fable, or to leave it as it is and expand upon it as an ORPG.
If I were to go through with the single player plan, I'd have to do a major overhaul on graphics. I've got most of the engine done, so programming isn't much of an issue. In addition, I'd have to make a story that leaves room for open-ended gameplay, as well as greatly improve the legal system. All in all, version 1 would have to be pushed back to a much later date.
I'd also keep a certain multiplayer aspect by making the arena a seperate entity as far as a game, but I'd have things carry over between the two, which opens the door to a whole world of possibiiities.
Well, tell me what you think I should do.
Thanks for your time.

Custom MIDI Requests
So I finally got everything together and set up my little payment system using PayPal. I'm going to give it a go-run for a week or two, and if it goes smoothly, I'll keep it. However, if the demand goes down significantly, I'll postpone it for a later date.

v0.95 - Just a few more steps... and Composing business!
Version 1 is almost complete, after working on in for a rather long time. (the date it was added to the hub has nothing to do with the amount of time I've put into the game.) I've added many, many things, all of which I may or may not go into detail with.
I am proud of the PvP system I've added, as well as the beginnings of my Legal System. Both are simple as of now, but I plan on expanding and building on them until they're something to behold. The current legal system is especially small, i.e. you attack a chicken and you get a Yellow Ticket, of which if you three, you get a red ticket and go to jail for a minute, and every yellow ticket you get after that leads to a red ticket (for now).
I've also added a few NPC's to populate the towns and cities, but they're relatively purposeless. However, after I make a tutorial for newcomers, add a few more enemies, and add a few more equipment items and expand on the shops, and fix up a few bugs, it'll be safe to call this version 1.
However, even after that, I'll still have a ways to go, with adding new things constantly, building my legal and pvp systems, and countless other tasks, so keep an eye out for updates.
Apart from Unwritten, I've found myself composing music for different peoples' games. For a while I'll do it for free, but after I get past the first stretch, I'm going to start charging... I'll just explain it with my past forum post:
As for charges, I would have to start out with an initial price - let's say $1.25, multiplied by the number of songs requested, and perhaps a small additional charge for specifics, then decreased by a set amount for each day I go without meeting a set deadline.
Something like that. :)

The advent of version 1 off Unwritten is near!
In the course of my absense, I have added a plethura of new features and events, and the event of forsaking the beta phase of my game is closer to reality than it has ever been.
When the game was purely conceptual, I knew what I wanted in my game, and I've realized the great majority of what I've had planned since the beginning. Be that as it may, there is still a great many more features to be added, but the game is very near ready to be officially called version One, and to be submitted to Byond RPG's.
Some of the things I've added range from integral to trivial, but all of it contributes to the overall eye and player appeal I'm trying to convey. I have a day/night thing going on, with corresponding times, but I'm debaitng on whether or not to do away with the corresponging overlays. No doubt, the purpose of the times would be used for time-specific events and such. A key thing I wanted was travel by ship, which I have indeed done. What needs to be done there is the implementation of interactive travel by ship, which I am sure will come post-Version 1.
I've smoothed out the battle system, as well as monster AI, and plan to soon add different behavioral patterns for different enemies. You know, like the degree of their rationality.
I have also created a nice little interface. I decided to screw off the panes, and just gave myself an open pallette, and I must say, it actually looks quite nice.
Of course, there is much more I've added, but I'm basically to the point of where I'll incessantly ramble on, but on an extremely important note, I
need,
need, someone to host my game when the time comes. I don't think my would-be players would truly appreciate the game if they were constantly raped by the severe lag, so please, someone, get with me about that.
Apart from that, if you have any questions, just let me know, and I'll do my best to answer them.
Thanks for your time,
Eksadus
