I have a laptop that has windows 8 and whenever I try to play a game it says im trying to open a app then sends me to the app store and none of these games are apps so I need to know what to do because I've been playing for 4 years and want to keep playing
That's strange.
Is it a Windows RT (tablet) or a full version of Windows 8?

Did you use the BYOND installer to install BYOND?
Did you run it as an administrator?

It seems like the file extensions aren't being recognized.
Try launching the pager and then seeing if that helps?

We need a little more information about your setup.
I also have windows 8 and can't download Beyond
I have Windows 8 Professional installed on a new laptop... I was almost certain I had BYOND up and running on it before, but i'm probably wrong due to the fact its NOT working now...

I can install it, and can find the byond.exe in c:/Program Files(x86) ... When I try to run it, nothing happens.. I check my task manager(Which sucks on W8) and its in the background processes, using hardly any CPU, and never 'opens'. There is no BYOND logos by the clock, and the pager never pops up. I try joining a game VIA a HUB, nothing happens still. I can launch Dreamer Deamon(The hosting file) but nothing else comes up. EVEN when I tried changing the compatibility to Windows 7 and even Windows XP SP3 nothing happens.

Any help on the situation will be greatly appreciated
