Another Base [WIP] (Constructive Crits)

So in the last 6 minutes or so of me being awake I decided to outline a possible base and I want constructive Criticism on it.

I'm mainly looking for upper body suggestions because I draw the legs in around 30 seconds. and yes I know they are very close together haha

Ok, so we all know that first base was FRICKEN HUGE! So I scrapped it for a multitude of reasons and tried a more reasonable size. It looks pretty good anatomically, but I don't feel too good on the shading.

you really need to increase the contrast because right now the colors are too close,it doesn't give you any feeling of depth at all.
