I think that Rockstar was not very intelligent leaving this hidden content in the game. DUH! It could obviously be hacked by anyone who ownes the game. But about The Sims. My God! This just proves that people who know nothing about how computer games work think they know everything. The only way that EA could stop the Sims from being able to be modded is if they release a patch, which could most likely be bypassed. You can't stop the modders of the game.
If he ever gets through with banning the Sims 2 (doubtful), I wonder what he'd take on next? The next high profile game of course, Halo 2!

I can see it now!

"Halo 2 should be banned because it promotes murder, theft, and vehicular mayhem!"

"Um...sir, what about games like that BMX game with all the nudity?"

"Pssh. We won't go after that game as its not a high profile! Just wait until I become president! Then all games will be banned!"

If it were to come to that (banning Halo 2)...I'm sure that people wouldn't let that happen.

Yeah. What he's complaining about with the Sims is essentially the fact that information inside a computer can be accessed and changed. :P I don't think that EA is responsible for that fact.

NEVER!!!!!!!! If he gets that banned i'll stab him in the eye with a broken shard of the disc.

WHERE'S THAT!!!

Just kidding (kinda). But read my other post. They can't stop modding because information in a computer can always be hacked and changed.

You know, when it comes to sex and violence: sex>violene. I geuss everyone would rather we go point blank on some guy with a shot gun and take his car than have sex with that hot chic next door.

Well, EB and GameStop are the same company, so they should both carry it.

Finally someone who agrees with me on human stupidity. I say people start out dumbf***s and become smart.

He's saying stuff about how the blur is meant to intend something. The last time i checked, the Sims is suppost to be a slightly funny game. They have exaggerated expressions and the blur is meant to be funny because there's nothing to blur.

Why dont they at birth just gouge out our eyes and break our necks so we cant see or feel anything.
In response to Popisfizzy
I know, thats what makes the game trippy, along with the sim language..

I know this is extremely nerdy, but i can speak simlish well (i don't understand any of it). But, whats wierd is, even though Simlish is a bunch of made of words, some people are bad at speaking it

You'd break the disc!? It'd be worth LOADS.

I for one welcome the banning of games. Just THINK what price your collection of games could bring on the black market?
In response to Elation
i mean one of the pieces they broke. I'd never break my precious Halo 2.

I doubt anybody who went through law school is really dumb enough to believe that "ken and barbie" are inappopriate, in this case, for people over the age of 13, as ESRB has concluded. If this were the case, he'd be after Mattel who's been doing the same for years in a fully tangible form. My conclusion is that it's all about money. He is convinced that he can convince enough people that his radicle claims are true to make some money out of this in some way, shape, or form. Only problem is that he overlooked the fact that it isn't EA's fault that 0 can be changed to 1, and vice versa.

This isnt the first time that game makers were exposed by having innaproate things in it.

I believe it was Leisure Suit Larry 6 or 7, the one where he was on the boat. Anyways, in the orginal print, there was a way to get a pornographic sex scene between larry and the ships captain.

You had to go through alot of crap to find it, and when someone actully found it, the developers admitted they put the easter egg in, but they decided they wanted to remove it, and forgot.

He's not trying to get them banned, he's trying to get them with an AO rating or something, just meaning kids can't buy them, which I have no problem with...No more people online screaming "u got pwned n00b! lawl!"
I don't see the problem with "controversey" in games. If you don't like it, then you should also argue that pornography is banned all together.
In response to DeathAwaitsU
They're not trying to ban it, just make it AO. they've done a real good job with porn...
In response to Popisfizzy
AO?
