I'll never understand how people lived without the raw screech of a guitar or psychedelicness of repetitious ambient sounds.

What are you talking about? The raw sound of a guy with an acoustic guitar far outdoes any amplified guitar, or any special effect.
Anyone can take an electric guitar, and change the output to make themselves sound good. It takes a really good guitar player to make the acoustic sound like love. On another note: They had to put wood platforms under Stompin' Tom, because he fell through a stage from his stompin' stomp-ness. | |
I'm talking about the industrial sound of the new age. Sure, there are those who do excellent with acoustic guitars, but I favor an electric performance to that of one without it.
