I figured a lot of the new cards would probably improve my deck, but I haven't played in years, so my library is a bit outdated. I actually like Archfiends, because of their dice effect, and I added in a Soul Demolition/Soul Absortion combo to grant me some serious healing power, to cover the costs.
So far, I haven't been doing bad in duels with it, but you're probably right about switching out for some more zombies, especially the new ones. Thanks. |
Yup, anytime. Zombies are probably a better way to take. If you've got the money, that is.
Also, a new SJ card is coming out in the March Edition of Shonen Jump. It's a broken mess, it is. Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord Dark Level 8 2800/2500 Dragon/Effect After a Counter Trap Card you control negates the activation of an opponent's card(s) or effect(s), you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Then activate the appropriate effects, based on the type of card negated: • Spell: Inflict 1500 damage to your opponent. • Trap: Select and destroy 1 card your opponent controls. • Effect Monster: Select 1 monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it. Invest in atleast 2 of these, and main some Solemn Judgement/Dark Bribes/Divine Wrath/Pulling The Rug for some fun. |
Firstly, Archfiends are a dead deck type. Their costs are mandatory, and not worth the effort. If you want to run fiends, try out a Necrofear Return deck type.
Zombies are currently a Tier 1 deck type, what with Il Blud and Zombie Masters running around. I'd go with Zombies, but if you are on a budget, go with Necrofear Return or Twighlight Circle. For more information, check out Pojo.biz, metagame.com and yugioh.tcgplayer.com, as well as shriek.twoday.net.
Personally, I run a Dark Twighlight Circle deck. They abuse the Destiny Hero engine, and with all the new dark monsters from PTDN set - along with Dark Allure - I can easily flood the field, have a bigger hand advantage than you and not worry about exhausting resources.
Also, invest in Raiza the Storm Monarchs and Phoenix Wing Wind Blast.
