You need to add some mystery to this series. Like how Tobi from Naruto is mysterious and no one knows who he really is.

Make like some shadowy figure that is plotting to destroy BYOND or something, and at the season finale, reveal who he is and in season 3 have him killing off certain members of the community.

Starting with Stephen of course. :D

the shadowy figure could be the guy in the robe thats trying to destroy byond already
