Blend() does support alpha; chances are you're simply not using it correctly if you're getting unexpected results.

I should have said partial transparency, sorry. If partial transparency works, then the reference could use some updating.

"Note: Currently, the alpha value of each pixel is only calculated as totally transparent or totally opaque. If you use Blend() with partially opaque icons the resulting alpha mask is unpredictable."
