SUMMARY: Try this game!

There's a picture of me tearing a boss apart in this great Japanese shooter. It's an easy game to install, and it grants some nice twitch factor in small doses. If anyone's up for netting a high score in one of the modes, maybe I can get a competition going, or maybe not. I'll see what the voices in my head think, or my two visitors.

Edit (July 1st):

I got a little excited from this sick run in normal mode. I'm not sure if I can surpass it.

I also posted up the .rec (recording) file the game made of my round with the final form before I died. I got brutally close to form 16, but ah well. I found out that the form I was facing before (Phoenix) was a lot harder for me than the form I managed to "convince" the boss into taking this play-through (Asura). Perhaps people will pass whatever level they're having trouble with by trying new ways to kill the beast.

An easy link to the recording is here (it's only 4 KB): http://members.byond.com/ScouSin/files/ScouSinAsura.rec

To run the recording file, simply put it in Warning Forever's rec folder, then goto replay in the game. Press fire to scroll through recordings in that file.
Sexy broken link.
I only got to stage 9 so far...
What broken link?

I think that's... well.. stage 8 or 9.
First try.

Good game.
That is an awesome game!

I came across it a while ago on a site that also had a bunch of other scrolling shooters like it (might have been linked from someone on BYOND, maybe?), and I downloaded them all...

Very fun...
It gets crazy after stage 8.
All of a sudden the ships started commin at me with like, 90 fuckin segments in front, back, and both sides.
Fun stuff.
Pretty damn good game. I got to about level 10 and then I finally bit the bullet. I like how you can roate your ship and fire in almost any direction.
The trick to success I've found lies in manipulating the construction of the beast for future levels. The beast actually adapts to the way you play.

For example, the more concentrated your attacks are at a specific point, he will add more defense pieces to that area, or the longer a specific kind of attack piece is left in play, the more it'll add more of those pieces, and less of others.

Tomorrow I'll probably post some of my high scores for normal mode.
I get errors when I open it, Japanese errors.
For someone who dies too much, you got a very high stage and score.
EDIT: Turns out my server sucks and is all "secure". Copy the URL and paste it into your browser and it should work. >_>

My bests in 3 Lives mode. This was for practice and learning to use in Normal.

My bests in Normal mode. This is before my practice in 3 Lives mode, and I could do a bit better when I go back to Normal.

The Japanese really know how to make excellent minimalist games. I've been playing Warning Forever for a year and a half now. =)

If you like Warning Forever, you'll also like the games featured here:

My favourite is Torus Trooper.
