I found a really neat program that acts as an effects processor. Just grab a converter, and plug your guitar straight into your line-in jack. Next, double click your sound icon in your system try, and go to Files, then properties. Click on 'recording', and make sure 'Line in' is checked. Click okay, and then check 'select' on Line in on the window that pops up.

Step two is to go to http://guitarfx.net and download the program.

Step three; Mess around with the effects! It comes with things such as overdrive, distortion, wah, flanger, delay, and more. One of the effects is 'record wav', which records a wav file of what you play, but in a terrible compression; 1 minute is 12mb! I just downloaded a converter that turns it into an MP3, and they are decent sized afterwards.

Here are a couple of improvisations I did with my favorite preset so far (Distortion + Wah + Delay):

This thing is awesome, thanks bro.
That has got to be the most annoying sound I've ever heard come out of a guitar. Turn the wah down or something, thats just aweful. But neat program, wish I needed it. Ive got a pedal that does all that for me.

Although seeing as you just got it, the obnoxious effect is understandable, I know I made my fair share of them when I first bought my rp200a.

EDIT
Decided to set up audacity again and see what I can do.
This is on my little 10 watt ibanez amp, no pedal, just the built in overdrive.

Clips in A and E respectively, mostly pentatonic scales, a little deviation once in a while.
Nice, sounds pretty cool. I can't wait tell my b-day on the 28'th, I get a guitar :D

It's mostly the fact that it's my first time messing with all of these effects. So yeah, it'll be kind of annoying. :)

They sound nice. I noticed a couple of times in the Asample that you went out of tune in a few bends, and you hit a note out of tune on Esample, but other than that, they're pretty nice. What are you playing on?

Well its about 60 degrees in my house, I'm lucky I only went off a couple times, I can barely feel my fingers. That was on my Washburn X10(read bottomoftheline)strat clone, pickups are ssh, I was using the h. 10 watt Ibanez practice amp with built in overdrive(I didnt feel like dragging the mess of cords for my pedal to the computer).

Oh yeah, and that note you thought was out of tune in Esample, was a pinch harmonic, I hit a few of them. I hold the pick to close to the edge my thumb scrapes the strings too much at times. Its hard to hold the pick correctly when you cant feel your fingers ya know.

Almost forgot, gotta mention strings, they make a difference. I use Dean Markly Blue Steel, I love them. A little more expensive(but not elixer expensive)around 9 or 10 dollars a set. The bends sound great on them, even through my cheap setup, and these are old, maybe 2 months now, lucky they havent broken, because i dont have the cash to even get a spare set.

I know how it is playing in cold weather. It really sucks. The note I'm talking about in Esample wasn't a pinchy, though. Just sounded like you accidently hit an open string, which is completely understandable in that condition. :P

I use a Fender Squier S73, and up until I found that program, I used a Crate MX-10 amp. Not much, but it got the job done.

Crate's are generally pretty good. Im looking at a bigger amp, but I wont be able to spend much, so there goes crate/peavey/anything better. Heh, I normally run my pedal through my 20watt rogue bass amp(peice of crap for bass, but it works). Note above I edited my last post with a paragraph on strings.
