The idea behind trendsetting is to talk about games people actually WANT on beyond. It gets into the nitty-gritty of the mechanics and possible graphics that would ensue from such a game.
It's designed to help people decide whether it would be a good idea to make such a game or not, based on the main concepts of those games.
