It seems every day Im rejecting every review sent to the anime guild. I try to accept one review every 2 days or so but even then all that does is simply set off chain reactions of dissent from people with obviously ample free time to critique how a review was done, but lacking in the motivation to do one themselves.

In short Im changing my policy of fixing reviews with poor quality. Before i would fix obvious spelling errors and once I even bothered to change the overall ratings because while the review gave lots of insight to the game it did a poor job evaluating it numerically. Due to the angsty nature of the average Anime Guild visitor i have decided instead to maintain a higher level of quality which is a shame because i did want even the younger less articulate ones of you to express your opinion and be heard but alas. The grammar nazis have had their way with the guild as have the overly opinionated. Im keeping the bad reviews out. So when you send me a revew, copy and paste it first to a notepad (word preferably so you can spell check it.) so that if i reject it, you can listen to what i say (or if i say nothing then it truly was hopeless and you should try from scratch) and fix it.

On that topic one more thing I would like to mention, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is it okay to send me a review for a game thats not released or made by YOURSELF. My god people this is a democratic channel in which players may freely communicate not a place to advertise for Naruto Rage of Ultimate Destruction 3 and how its going to be the greetest gam ev3r. Seriously, thats not a review.
Also if you give ratings for a review in any category below a 4 or above a 7 you better explain in detail what went wrong or what is so freaking good. Im so tired of rejecting reviews just because you thought it was run of the mill but gave it a score of 10-10-10-10. The Review function is absolutely wonderful but i really would like to see more thought be put into them. Okie dokey!

Before changing the spelling and grammar in other posts, you might want to fix your own.

Also, the whole number system is fucking retarded. A game is either fun or it isn't. The author accomplished what he wanted to do or he didn't.

You can't say Chess is 6/10 for being boring. Chess is fucking Chess. A DBZ grindfest is a DBZ grindfest.

Im so tired of rejecting reviews just because you thought it was run of the mill but gave it a score of 10-10-10-10.

I might also point out that there's really no reason why a review HAS to have a score at all. Its easy enough to just point out the good and bad aspects of a game without bothering to assign arbitrary numbers to them.

yes you certainly dont need to assign a score if you dont want to.

At least my Review got through :D, I'd say it was averagely constructed. Also maybe you should post on here the BYOND Template, maybe post another one with the review template in it so people surely don't get confused and it is organized and has fair ratings

Your reaction only shows that you know I'm right. You shouldn't go around fixing other posts when your own are riddled with mistakes.

Dan, reviews are fairly new to byond. you cant expect everyone to get it right away.

yes you certainly dont need to assign a score if you dont want to.

I wrote an honest review of my own game in which I gave everything a review of what it exactly is including #'s my graphics as of now are around a 7 area until i Icon out better ones and maybe I'm a little biased but how can you edit others while you yourself have a game here, doesn't that make you equally as biased? Really now its like Microsoft Writing Reviews on Linux and Macs or Coke Writing a review for Pepsi IT WILL BE BIASED and the fact you can edit ones post puts this further into question of what do YOU want them to say about the game and not what We assume this person honestly thinks.... I believe you should not be able to edit, only remove due to unsuitable content...Which I expect this particular comment to be removed or otherwise flamed by Danny boy here... If you don't like it then you honestly need to take a nice long look at yourself and think of why oyu should care what people over the internet think of you really now...

WTF? I HAVE NEVER USED A BOTLS SOURCE RELEASED GAME! THAT MY FRIEND IS SLANDER! And how is this democratic we don't vote on your decisions now do we... Berserk Is NO WHERE NEAR BOTLS and how would you even know what the style of my game even looks like no one has even played it yet other then my current staff I Guarantee you it is not ripped and stop making false accusations. One game I did review was Naruto Ultimate Battle by Drswim. It uses botls icons but gameplay style itself is original I even said in the review that it uses there icons and that he needed to update them and add some sound effect all rating were from 6-8 and you stated "They were too High" did you even play the game or just log into it seen the icons and log out? really and "What do i care how other peoples games are reviewed?" then why are you editing the reviews? that was an honest opinion of what I thought of the game even stated that the Icons where Botls seriously....

your review was a sentence long and you gave it 7-9 in every category it was terrible, it had nothing to do with the fact that im bias it had to do with the fact that it was bias and horribly written.

Another prime example of why Masterdan wasn't such a great choice to head the anime community/guild.

No offence Masterdan, but when you add more immaturity to an already established immaturity you're not going to get a functioning community. You get more along the lines of an unhappy group of people and give everyone the idea that you have some sort of superiority complex.

Maybe you should reevaluate your approach as guildmaster so every post you make doesn't turn out to be another swapping of insults.

no, these things need to be said, if you disagree with my management style then pretend this guild is like it was before, ie stop comming here and pretend changes happen on an annual basis like it was before, no reviews, inactive forum and people like you can go back to believing byond was dead or dying or beyond help like the pessimistic bunch of useless dissenters you are. Now keep your opinions to yourself unless you have something constructive to say.
