Im sure many of you(or atleast some!) have tried creating a
game based on a unique idea or background, and found it just
as difficult as me. I found an incredibly nice article on the
subject, which basically covers everything that you will need
to consider about your world, from climate, to geological age,
forms of magic, government, economy and much more.

Personally I think that's the easiest part :)
But then, I also don't see the logic in restricting yourself to the classic fantasy genre when you could make all sorts of wondrous things that have nothing to do with "classic" fantasy. |

While it is meant for a fantasy setting, it doesn't restrict itself to it. You could just as easily follow those guidelines to create a cyberpunk futuristic world. |
