Pretty much everyone hates jumping challenges. Its really hard to anticipate jumping in games, due to lag, controls and not knowing the bounds of the platform. It's a tricky slope... see what I did there.
My mistake I tend to use sidescroller/platformer interchangeably.

I suck at platformers. I like sidescrollers I think is what meant to say.

Little mistake most side scrollers are platformers :P. Personally i hate mario. Mostly because i never got to play some of the really awesome ones way back when. Stuck with the 3d nonsense and the player generated content of mario maker :/

You would really hate Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels/Super Mario Bros. 2 Japanese Version. :P

That game has level design that is so brutal along with many dangerous platform jumps.
I've played a grand total of about 10 minutes of Super Mario Bros.

What got me to like Mario was actually Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, Paper Mario and Super Smash Bros. As far as classic side-scrollers go I've always found Sonic to be superior.

It would be fun to mix the levels from Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels/Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japanese Version) with Sonic the Hedgehog mechanics. That would make for an awesome Super Challenge. :P

This is just awesome... Special points for animating the light on its chest, it makes it look like a current of electricity is running through it. Also, if you are going to do all directions for this thing it would be awesome if you could make it a ride-able mount.
