Had a great day for my 21st. Got a new monitor and an iPod touch. Two toys that will bring me hours of entertainment. Really loving the fact I'm typing this post with my iPod.

My first bought app with this dealy was a telnet/ssh client. Chatters worked well and I was able to reboot IU with it easy enough. So that's awesome.

I still maintain that an app of somekind to recieve messages would be incredibly awesome. Realistically it probably won't happen, but it's worth sewing the seed.

Outside of that, my new monitor rocks, the only negative part is developing websites for if might be a little harder at 1680x1050 resolution. But if any problems occur, I'll probably discover them tomorrow.

Friend came over today and treated me to a really nice steak. That and several beers later, here I am. =D Even got a couple of freebies because he's the step son of the owner and generally if we drink there, we taste test potential beer they might end up selling. It owns.

With that I'm taking my drunk self to bed. See you crazy cats tomorrow!
At least you get to enjoy some games that support 16:10 (not 16:9) widescreen.

Such games actually look awesome that way. Sadly though, several older games don't support such resolutions (few actually do though). Working in that resolution may take some time get used to, but is rather enjoyable. I currently possess a monitor with the resolution of 1440x900 (widescreen 16:10 also as more monitors are becoming) that I got for christmas almost 3 years ago.

Yep, you get to enjoy games or even movies on 16:10 widescreen. :D
Movies are best kept to the TV with surround sound. Boondock Saints was awesome with that.

Yay new technology =D
I thought you said it was an iPhone?

*is puzzled*

You mean like a pager app? Feel free to make one. I would, but with no iPhone or iPod Touch, I have no incentive to develop any sort of app there. :P

If you wanted to buy me an iPod Touch, I certainly might consider figuring out the pager communication and coming up with something. But with no Apple-brand technology in my home, I have no reason to develop in that department. :]
Your next step is to jailbreak your touch :P.

Also, if you mean a pager app, then if someone could figure out/tell me how it works, I might be able to set something up. Of course, I know nothing about networking on the iPhone, but overall, the iPhone makes most things easier than they sound.
I have the same resolution what inch is your monitor mines 22".

I thought it was with them being identical in almost every way. I didn't have much time when snooping to make a complete assessment.

I suppose I could give it a shot sometime down the road.

Or I could do something really crazy and just ask Tom if he's into the idea and for the necessary info. ;)

Still need a Mac OS to do it with the offical SDK however.
